Relativity was formed by Tero in the year 2003, when he recorded some various grindy songs, doing the drums and guitars himself. Later on, he asked Mikko from Kollapse to do all the vocals. A year passed and then Juha from Vortech joined the band to do the guitarworks and thus it was time to start playing live. Relativity played a few gigs in their hometown Tornio and one in Kemi.

During the time, Tero had written a number of new songs, which were rehearsed and played during the new live gigs. Over the course of time, they also recorded some demo songs which were released only as mp3s. Some time into 2005, they were contacted by the Finnish record label Thrash and Burn, who were interested in releasing an album by Relativity. Although the material made during last two years was pretty varied in style, and quality, there was enough material for a very good 7" vinyl.

The music was rehearsed and recorded fast because 2/3 of the band - Juha and Tero - soon had to go to the army for 6 months. Just before the service, all drums were recorded at the local WaPi studios and all guitars at the Relativity rehearsal place. The vocals for the album were recorded during the following six months whenever Tero had a leave from military service. The result was 6 minutes of original sounding, pissed off grindcore.

"Mind is weaker than the body", a 4-song 7" vinyl, was released at end of the year 2006, after many delays.

In early 2007, the band started recording their newly demoed material for an upcoming release. The work progressed fast: all drums and guitars were recorded in a few days in total. All vocals were recorded sporadically from there on until April 2007. The new EP was released for free on the internet in May 2007. It featured seven new tracks of grind blast-o-rama, clocking in at around 14 minutes.
